Studying patterns of erosion caused by water at Barringer Meteor Crater helps provide evidence that liquid water may have existed on Mars!

This research conducted by Professor Marisa C. Palucis with Dr David Kring et al analyzes the post-impact gullies on the slopes of the crater caused before the region dried out.

Dr Palucis was a Barringer Research Grant recipient during her doctoral studies, and it is exciting to see her ongoing contributions to the field!
