mage courtesy NASA/JPL of the Orionids as earth passes through the Halleys Comet dust trail each year

As earth passes through the Halleys Comet dust trail each year, we receive a show of some of the brightest and fastest meteor showers! In fact at its peak activity, you will see up to 15 meteors in a given hour of gazing into the night sky. Look toward the constellation Orion and this is the radiant- as though they are coming from there. Find out more about it on the NASA site here.
