Professor Amy Mainzer of the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory at U of A is the Barringer Lecture Award recipient for 2023! Her presentation, Earth-Approaching Asteroids and Comets: Opportunity and Risk will be presented during the Meteorological Society Conference August 14, 2023 at 7pm in UCLA's Fowler Museum. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Since 1999, the Barringer Crater Company has sponsored a public lecture delivered by an invited speaker at the Annual Meeting of the Meteoritical Society. These speakers often offer a broader perspective on the role of meteoritics and planetary science in the modern world.
