Not only is Barringer Meteor Crater one of the premiere locations, the Mistasin Crater in Canada is another! Dr. Ozinski, the 2021 recipient of the Barringer Medal, one of the premier researchers of Mistasin Crater, describes this site as one of the best for training the astronauts:
